Mt Wellington
Mt Wellington / kunanyi

On a clear day, the views from Mt Wellington are absolutely stunning. In winter, you may even find yourself playing in the snow. Whatever the season, it’s well worth taking the opportunity to visit the iconic mountain, traditionally known as kunanyi in the Palawa Kani language.
As we travel upward, we pass through several ecosystems and gradually experience the harsh alpine environment of the summit. Along the way, you will see St David’s Park and the beautiful Cascade Valley, home to the Cascade Brewery and its surrounding gardens.
You will also have the chance to view the impressive Organ Pipes, a massive natural rock formation. Once at the summit, you’ll encounter a rugged alpine landscape that offers unsurpassed panoramic views of Hobart, its suburbs, and the vast waterways of the Derwent River. Additionally, there is an option to walk around and view the exterior of the Cascade Brewery.
After descending the mountain, we continue past the exterior ruins of the Cascades Female Factory, a former female convict prison, before heading toward our n

Hobart City Tour

Our city tour begins at Sullivan’s Cove, Hobart’s birthplace and the main ferry terminal. From there, we continue past several significant landmarks, including:
• Parliament House
• Salamanca Place, with its restored Georgian warehouses now housing restaurants, galleries, and pubs
• St David’s Park
• South Hobart at the foot of Mt Wellington
• St David’s Cathedral
• The Treasury Building and Franklin Square
• The GPO and Hobart Town Hall
• The Penitentiary Chapel
• Queen’s Domain and Government House
• Victoria Dock and Constitution Dock
Finally, you may enjoy some free time to explore the exquisite Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, if you wish.

We begin this part of the tour by heading across the Tasman Bridge. Soon after, we pass through the scenic Coal River Valley before arriving in Richmond, one of Australia’s most historic and unique towns, dating back to the 1820s.
While here, you can stroll across the iconic Richmond Bridge and perhaps greet the local ducks as they forage beneath Australia’s oldest convict‑built road bridge. Nearby, you’ll also find the oldest operating Catholic church in the country. If you’re interested in history, you may choose to visit Richmond Gaol, which has been standing since 1826.
In addition, you can taste local wines and produce from the Coal Valley region (at your own expense), browse the shops, or simply relax. There is plenty of time to explore the village, with its quaint cottages, unique boutiques, galleries, and charming restaurants.
You will also receive a Richmond map and discount coupons to help you make the most of your visit. There are excellent photo opportunities throughout the area.
