Please arrive at your designated pick-up spot at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The coach operates on a strict schedule to ensure all itinerary stops are met, so it cannot wait for late passengers.
We will stop at The Big Merino in Goulburn from 11:30 AM to 12:40 PM. Families will have over an hour to grab lunch, stretch their legs, and take photos with the iconic giant sheep. ( Own expense)
Yes. Hand-feeding the farm animals costs $3 per food bag and is strictly cash-only. It is recommended to have exact change ready before the wine tasting begins.
On Saturday afternoon, you will experience a scenic drive past various foreign diplomatic homes and embassies, stop for a family group photo outside the New Australian Parliament House, and spend 10–15 minutes enjoying the views at the Mount Ainslie Lookout.
An early dinner is booked at the Star Buffet (Burns Club) from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM. You will have 1 hour to enjoy the buffet selection before heading to the hotel.
Group check-in will take place at 7:00 PM at the Abode Hotel in Canberra, allowing families plenty of time to unpack and get a good night’s rest before the early ski morning.
Boarding begins at 5:30 AM at the Abode Hotel, and the coach departs promptly at 5:45 AM. Because this is an early start, it’s best to have clothes and bags packed the night before.
Yes. There are two opportunities to arrange gear hire: an optional 1-hour gear hire stop in Cooma on the way down, or directly upon arrival at Smiggins Holes.
Yes, the Kosciuszko National Park entry fee is fully included in your tour price. You do not need to pay anything extra for the coach to enter the park.
Yes, ski, snowboard, and clothing hire are not included in the tour price and will incur an additional cost depending on what equipment your family needs.
The coach drops off directly at Smiggins Holes at 8:45 AM. This area is highly regarded as an excellent, family-friendly zone within the broader Perisher resort, featuring great beginner terrain.
You will have from 8:45 AM until 2:30 PM (nearly 6 hours) to ski, snowboard, play in the snow, or enjoy lunch at the resort while the driver takes their mandatory rest break.
The coach departs from Smiggins Holes strictly at 2:30 PM. Please ensure your family is back at the designated bus parking area with all hire gear returned or packed before this time.
The coach will stop for dinner from 5:45 PM to 6:30 PM (a 45-minute stop). This meal is not pre-booked or included, giving your family the freedom to choose what they like.
Yes. Aside from the dinner break, there is a designated 10-minute final toilet stop at McDonald’s Sutton Forest later in the evening to ensure everyone is comfortable for the final stretch of the drive.
It is highly recommended to dress in layers. Bring waterproof snow pants, a waterproof winter jacket, thermal underwear, warm beanies, waterproof gloves, and sturdy, enclosed footwear. If you do not own snow clothing, you can hire coats and pants during the Cooma or Smiggins Holes stops.
Yes, you can leave items like changes of clothes or travel pillows on the coach during the day while you are at Smiggins Holes. However, it is always recommended to keep high-value essentials (like phones, wallets, and medications) with you in a waterproof backpack.
No. Under Australian road laws, standard child car seats and capsules are not legally required on large commercial coaches. Children will sit safely in their own assigned seats.
Our tours run rain, hail, or shine! Perisher has excellent snowmaking facilities and plenty of indoor resort areas, restaurants, and cafes if you need to take a break from the weather. We highly recommend checking the weather forecast a few days before departure so you can pack appropriate layers.
Group check-in is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Saturday evening, right after your dinner at the Star Buffet. This gives you plenty of time to get settled, unpack, and put the kids to bed early.
Yes, our luxury coach is fully equipped with an onboard restroom. However, we kindly ask that it be used for emergencies only.
To ensure a highly comfortable and relaxing journey for all our guests, our itinerary naturally includes scheduled comfort stops every 90 minutes for leg-stretching, driver rest rotations, and meal breaks.
It is an early start to beat the snow traffic! Boarding begins right outside the hotel lobby at 5:30 AM, and the coach will depart promptly at 5:45 AM.
Abode properties feature modern, apartment-style studio rooms. They are well-insulated, clean, and offer excellent in-room climate control (heating) to keep your family warm during a chilly July winter night.
Yes! Rooms come equipped with handy kitchenette features, including a microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and toaster, alongside essential cookware and utensils. This is perfect if you need to heat up milk for children or want to make a quick hot drink before boarding the bus.

Most apartment-style studio rooms at Abode feature an in-room washer and dryer combo. While your stay is only for one night, this is incredibly convenient if you accidentally get any clothing wet or muddy during Day 1 of the trip
Yes. The hotel features the Abode Pantry, a mini-convenience section located near the reception desk. It is stocked with a curated selection of snacks, sweets, travel essentials, and ready-to-heat items if anyone gets hungry after check-in.
Because the tour departs at 5:45 AM (before standard hotel restaurant hours), a formal sit-down breakfast is not included. Families are encouraged to grab some quick breakfast bars, fruit, or pastries the day before to eat during the early morning coach ride down to Cooma and Perisher!
Absolutely. Even with an onboard restroom, we schedule dedicated breaks. On Saturday, we stop for over an hour at Goulburn. On Sunday night, we have a 45-minute dinner stop followed by a final 10-minute restroom break at McDonald’s Sutton Forest.
Yes. The coach features full air-conditioning and excellent heating systems to keep your family warm and cozy as we transition from the city into the freezing alpine environment.
Large suitcases and heavy bags will be securely stored in the luggage compartments underneath the bus. You can leave small daypacks, travel pillows, and extra clothing on your seats while you are exploring Canberra or skiing at Smiggins Holes. (Note: Please keep valuables like phones, wallets, and medications with you at all times).
Yes, passenger safety is our top priority. While your family is enjoying the snow at Smiggins Holes on Sunday from 8:45 AM to 2:30 PM, the coach will be parked, and the driver will be taking a mandatory, uninterrupted rest break to ensure they are fully alert for the drive back to Sydney.
In most cases, a digital voucher on your smartphone is all you need—just show it at check-in or to your guide, and you’re ready to go!
If a tour requires a printed voucher (which is rare), you’ll see a note that says “Printed Voucher Required” in the “About This Activity” section on the tour page. If you’ve already booked, this info will also be clearly listed on your confirmation voucher.
The coach operates on a strict, time-sensitive schedule due to hotel bookings, dinner reservations, and snow access windows. If you miss your departure time, the bus cannot turn around or wait, and you will need to arrange your own transport to catch up with the group. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled boarding time.
The scheduled drop-offs (Cabramatta at 9:00 PM, Bankstown at 9:20 PM, and Sydney CBD at 10:30 PM) are estimates. Peak winter snow traffic, mandatory national park entry checks, and weekend highway conditions can sometimes cause delays.
